Alamo Lake State Park
Located in La Paz and Mohave counties on 4,900 acres at an elevation of 1,300 feet. Features a remote reservoir on the Bill Williams River with premiere bass fishing and stargazing.
Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park
Located in Pinal County on 323 acres at an elevation of 2,400 feet. Comprises Arizona’s oldest and largest botanical garden.
Buckskin Mountain State Park
Located in La Paz County on 679 acres at an elevation of 420 feet. Provides water recreation on the Colorado River in the Parker Valley.
Catalina State Park
Located in Pima County on 5.493 acres at an elevation of 2,650 feet. Preserves a diverse desert landscape at the foot of the Santa Catalina Mountains.
Cattail Cove State Park
Located in Mohave County on 2,000 acres at an elevation of 450 feet. Provides water recreation on Lake Havasu.
Dead Horse Ranch State Park
located in Yavapai County on 423 acres at an elevation of 3,300 feet. Provides outdoor recreation along the Verde River.
Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area
Located in Navajo County on 800 acres at an elevation of 6,300 feet. Surrounds a 150-acre mountain reservoir.
Fort Verde State Historic Park
Located in Yavapai County on 11 acres at an elevation of 3,260 feet. Interprets the best-preserved Indian Wars-era fort in Arizona, active from 1871–1891.
Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial State Park
Located in Yavapai County on 320 acres at an elevation of 5,460 feet. Memorial to the nineteen members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots who died there on June 30, 2013 while fighting the Yarnell Hill Fire.
Homolovi State Park
Located in Navajo County on 4,500 acres at an elevation of 4,900 feet. Preserves several pueblo ruins and other Ancestral Puebloan archaeological sites.
Jerome State Historic Park
Located in Yavapai County at an elevation of 5,000 feet. Honors the Douglas family of mining entrepreneurs in their 1916 adobe mansion.
Kartchner Caverns State Park
Located in Cochise County at an elevation of 4,700 feet. Preserves a limestone cave kept in near-pristine condition since its discovery in 1974.
Lake Havasu State Park
Located in Mohave County on 928 acres at an elevation of 480 feet. Provides water recreation on Lake Havasu.
Lost Dutchman State Park
Located in Pinal County on 320 acres at an elevation of 2,000 feet. Faces the Superstition Mountains, where the Lost Dutchman’s Gold Mine is said to be hidden.
Lyman Lake State Park
Located in Apache County on 1,200 acres at an elevation of 6,000 feet. Features Lyman Reservoir and a 14th Century pueblo ruin.
McFarland State Historic Park
Located in Pinal County at an elevation of 1,500 feet. Preserves a courthouse and jail from the Arizona Territory era.
Oracle State Park
Located in Pinal County on 3,948 acres at an elevation of 3,700 feet. Features an environmental learning center, a historic ranch house, and wildlife habitat in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains.
Patagonia Lake State Park
Located in Santa Cruz County on 2,658 acres at an elevation of 3,750 feet. Provides recreational opportunities on 265-acre Patagonia Lake.
Picacho Peak State Park
Located in Pinal County on 3,747 acres at an elevation of 2,000 feet. Features a distinctive 3,374-foot (1,028 m) peak and spring wildflowers.
Red Rock State Park
Located in Yavapai County on 286 acres at an elevation of 3,900 feet. Preserves a section of scenic red rock canyon.
Riordan Mansion State Historic Park
Located in Coconino County on 5 acres at an elevation of 6,900 feet. Interprets the 1904 adjoined homes of influential lumber-baron brothers Timothy and Michael Riordan.
Roper Lake State Park
Located in Graham County on 338 acres at an elevation of 3,130 feet. Features a 32-acre fishing reservoir and a pond fed by a natural hot spring.
San Rafael State Natural Area
Located in Santa Cruz County on 3,557 acres at an elevation of 4,750 feet. Preserves a native grassland largely free of invasive plants. A former ranch complex is now a district on the National Register of Historic Places Not open to the public.
Slide Rock State Park
Located in Coconino County on 43 acres at an elevation 4,930 feet. Features a natural waterslide and a historic apple orchard in Oak Creek Canyon,
Sonoita Creek State Natural Area
Located in Santa Cruz County on 9,584 acres at an elevation of 3,750 feet. Preserves a diverse transition zone around Sonoita Creek adjacent to Patagonia Lake State Park.
Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park
Located in Cochise County at an elevation of 4,539 feet. Preserves the historic 1882 courthouse, sheriff’s office, and jail.
Tonto Natural Bridge State Park
Located in Gila County on 161 acres at an elevation of 4,530 feet. Features the world’s largest natural arch made of travertine.
Tubac Presidio State Historic Park
Located in Santa Cruz County at an elevation of 3,500 feet. Preserves the ruins of the 1753 Presidio San Ignacio de Tubac, an 1885 schoolhouse, and other structures plus a museum.
Verde River Greenway State Natural Area
Located in Yavapai County on 480 acres at an elevation of 3,300 feet. Preserves a 6-mile section of the Verde River adjacent to Dead Horse Ranch State Park.
Yuma Quartermaster Depot State Historic Park
Located in Yuma County at an elevation of 120 feet. Interprets an 1864 U.S. Army facility that supplied 14 military posts around the Southwest.
Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park
Located in Yuma County at an elevation of 120 feet. Interprets the famous Arizona Territory prison that operated from 1876 to 1909.
